About Us

In 1980 my mum, Muriel, could see the potential in buying House of Hair. She built the business into the successful “go to” hairdresser we have become. Muriel did not see obstacles she saw challenges and has passed her drive and ambition onto me.

I have worked in a variety of salon settings, starting with my apprenticeship in Edinburgh and Penicuik. This is where I first learnt about Paul Mitchell Systems. I have always loved the products and that they have been developed by a hairdresser for the hairdressing industry.

I was placed as one of the best new Scottish stylists in my final training year by the NHF [National Hairdressing Federation].

I continued working full time for many years then, part time in House of Hair while I studied for a career change.

I took a break from hairdressing until 2012, when my daughter was born, I realised that my first love, hairdressing, was more important to me than it had ever been before, and working alongside Paul Mitchell systems would satisfy my need to work with fantastic products and with a company that are actively helping us to have a greener healthier planet for my daughter's sake, so I decided to come back to hairdressing full time and subsequently have taken over the expansion of House Of Hair.

Now I would like to provide a platform for everyone to enjoy Paul Mitchell from a professional hairdresser that works with the products and can advise which are the perfect products for your hair.

This is where I am and I would like to continue to show my daughter to be mindful of others and having a good work ethic takes you further than you think.....
